t touch - ceramics and other exotic materials are what Rado is known for. One of my favorite details is the anchor above the RADO logo. The anchor actually swings, and the shape is duplicated by the rotor that you can see through the display case back. The hands have three colors and textures - the bare metal, the lume, and a strip of textured black down the middle of the hour, minute, and second hands. It's interesting that it's not on the chronograph hands. There's a lot of interesting detail to appreciate on this watch. If I were forced to criticize, I'd say it's a bit of a shame that the second hand is so small. The high beat movement deserves to be appreciated with a full size second hand, but in classic chronographs like this the full size second hand is dedicated to the chronograph function. So I understand why they designed it this way. Second criticism; the date is in an odd place. It's not at 3:00, because their logo is there. It's not at 6:00, because one of the chronograph dials is there. But it's not at 4:00 either. It's just past 4:00. Call it 4:20. Odd. But it doesn't bother me at all. One more thing you might not notice from on line photos; there's a subtle convex shape to the sapphire crystal. It's very gently domed. Combined with the case contours, it's a pleasure to run your fingers over this watch. All in all, a great choice for classic Swiss chonograph function from a brand you don't see every day.
