Royal Approval
Brothers Mario and Martino Prada established their famous brand in 1913 in Milan, Italy. Originally called Fratelli Prada, the brand was first a leather goods shop that specialized in selling imported English steamer trunks and handbags, as well as travel accessories. But 1919 was a turning point for the company, as it received the title of "Official Supplier of the Italian Royal House." This special distinction permitted Prada to make use of the House of Savoy coat of arms and knotted rope design in branding materials. came for the younger generation to take over, Mario’s daughter Luisa stepped up. She remained at the helm until her own daughter, Miuccia, took over 20 years later in 1978. Original Creations
